ABOUT US

Bondi Beach Babes is a social enterprise founded by Amy Lynch, post COVID lockdown in July 2020, after assessing the need to connect women in the community.

Bondi Beach Babes was formed on the basis of inclusion for all women in and around Sydney, predominately Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.

Bondi Beach, being such a transient location, women were struggling to find deep, meaningful, fulfilling friendships and connections.

In a world where we are so connected digitally, sadly loneliness is still at an all time peak, a pandemic in itself and we want to make a change to this!

We sit strongly by ' In a world where you can be anything, be kind'

Bondi Beach Babes is part of the being kind is cool movement. A place where women of all backgrounds, cultures and beliefs come together. A place without judgement or comparison - where everyone is accepted just the way you are.

We host social events/workshops & activities based at getting people offline and out being social. In turn growing community, connection and making a positive impact on mental health.

We also partner with local businesses to run programs such as Babes on Waves, Yoga classes, Boat parties- we want to eliminate loneliness while boosting the local economy.

We can’t wait to meet you at our next event

Lots of love and hugs xx

ABOUT US

AMY LYNCH BIO

Amy Lynch was born in the UK and has been living in Bondi for the past 12 years and adopted the name of Linky Lynchy. She has worked in the education industry for 20 years and also has been managing the Bondi Chamber of Commerce for the past 10. She has lots of experience in events, including founding up her own TEDx style event, The Circus of Ideas and being a prime organiser of Bondi Festival.

She is passionate about helping others and has been a huge advocate for women, dedicating time to volunteer for Free to Shine, who help to put girls into school who are at risk from sex trafficking.

Being single & living alone, lockdown made Amy realise that there was a huge pandemic of loneliness in her community. Having to deal some of her own mental health issues, Amy thought there must be other people who were feeling low too and could she do something to help. Having chats with her friend Sarah, who she met from organising events such as the International Women’s Day Awards, they both decided it was time to take action. Bondi Beach Babes was born in 2020.

Amy has a passion to do work that matters, support women, create fun, laugh A LOT and ensure no one feels lonely in her community.
